Experience deeper connection with yourself and increase your confidence and clarity with Inner Relationship Focusing. This mind-body process has helped people for decades move forward in areas of their lives that felt mired in inner conflicts. Through a step-by-step approach, IRF teaches you to compassionately connect with your inner feelings and states, even the challenging ones like inner critics and reactive or triggered states. As a form of “parts” work, IRF allows you to create relationships with multiple states of being, bringing relief to areas of inner conflict.
IRF is an effective self-care practice. Our IRF classes are offered online via Zoom, with 6-week modules of 2-hour classes. All classes are recorded and available to access within a day or two. Start your journey towards inner peace and self-awareness with Inner Relationship Focusing.

“Maureen is an amazing teacher. She’s able to break things down into these very small nuggets, and sequence them…she’s able to make the teachings accessible and rich.”
Maureen Gallagher, PhD, SEP
Inner Relationship Focusing Trainer
As a licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience, I have integrated several traditions including Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, and Relational Analysis into my practice. Inner Relationship Focusing has been an important part of my personal and professional journey, providing guidance on how to develop inner relationships and support that aid in healing and integration from difficult experiences.
As a trauma therapist, healer, and educator, I understand the importance of support in preventing and healing from traumatic events. IRF teaches us how to create a reliable relationship with ourselves, which ultimately informs our ability to form secure bonds with others. By combining the practices of IRF with deep somatic awareness and an attachment framework, we travel a deeply supported path towards self-awareness and transformation.
Join me in learning the clear roadmap that IRF provides towards developing inner relationships, becoming the basis for a healthy and compassionate relationship with ourselves and the world around us. Experience true healing and join our community today.
Ann Weiser Cornell and Barbara McGavin are the co-creators of Inner Relationship Focusing, which emphasizes having a gentle, allowing relationship with all parts of one’s self. When all aspects of the self are held in acceptance and awareness and sensed in the body, new insights and shifts can emerge and emotional healing can occur. Ann and Barbara are the co-owners of Focusing Resources Inc., whose mission is to meaningfully contribute to personal, community, and global emotional health.

“Her style is relatable, her style is generous. She doesn’t hold back with what she knows, she really wants to offer it. Her love for the material, her trust in what she’s teaching is clear…and her love of teaching is clear, which gets me and the people I’ve studied with really excited to learn more.”
